Library and Journal names vary, depending on how individual computers are configured. To create a new Journal Receiver, do the following:
- On the command line, type
WRKJRNA QSYS/QAUDJRN
, press Enter, and note the Attached Receiver number. - On the command line, type
CRTJRNRCV
, and press Enter. - Enter a
journal receiver
number one greater than the number you noted in Step 1. - Specify the
library
to beQGPL
, set theJournal receiver threshold
to191999
. - Press Enter.
- On the command line, type
CHGJRN
, and press Enter. - On the command line, type
QAUDJRN
for the journal,QSYS
for the library, and press F9. - In the
Journal Receiver
field, enter the journal number you specified in Step 3. - In the
Library
field, typeQGPL
. - Change
Manage Receiver
to*SYSTEM
and press Enter. - On the command line, type
WRKJRNA
, and press Enter. - Verify the
Attached Receiver
is the new receiver you created.
