Library and Journal names vary, depending on how individual computers are configured. To create a new Journal Receiver, do the following:

  1. On the command line, type WRKJRNA QSYS/QAUDJRN, press Enter, and note the Attached Receiver number.
  2. On the command line, type CRTJRNRCV, and press Enter.
  3. Enter a journal receiver number one greater than the number you noted in Step 1.
  4. Specify the library to be QGPL, set the Journal receiver threshold to 191999.
  5. Press Enter.
  6. On the command line, type CHGJRN, and press Enter.
  7. On the command line, type QAUDJRN for the journal, QSYS for the library, and press F9.
  8. In the Journal Receiver field, enter the journal number you specified in Step 3.
  9. In the Library field, type QGPL

  11. On the command line, type WRKJRNA, and press Enter.
  12. Verify the Attached Receiver is the new receiver you created.
