'Being Jrnld' flag will not turn to 'Y' when journaling is turned on.

It is possible that the object is already being journaled outside of Data Auditing and Reporting (DAR). A file can only be journaled in one place. However, the "other" journal may be added within DAR to obtain reports via the product.

On a Command Line, type DSPFD and enter the object and library in question. Look for "Current or last journal" to determine if and where the object is being journaled. 

To add the journal in DAR from the PSAudit menu, follow these steps:

  1. Select Option 3 Data Auditing and Reporting. 

  2. Press F11=Sys Menu.

  3. Select Option 1 Work With Journals.

  4. Use Option 1=Add.

  5. Enter the name of the journal and the library where it resides, and press Enter.

Journaled entries will now be accessed from this and other journals listed when reports are run via DAR.
