Data Auditing and Journaling (DAR) will not turn journaling on for configured object(s).

fix

Journaling will not turn on if the object is locked. Journaling will wait for the object to be free before it begins to journal.   To confirm that an object is locked, complete the following steps from a command line:

  1. Type WRKOBJLCK and enter the Object, Library, and Object Type in the fields provided.

  2. Press Enter.

  3. Choose Option 8 = Work with Job Locks, and press Enter.

  4. View the Job Member Locks and the Object Locks. If there are locks, the journaling cannot be started.
