symptom
An AS/400 CUM PTF is applied and when using command, DSPPTF 1PSC001, it is indicated that the CUM PTF is not applied.

symptom
A message in the interactive session joblog indicates the file LPPPD is not found.

fix

Check to be sure you still have library, PSINSTALL, on your system. It is required to apply CUM PTFs.

If you do not have the library, complete the following:

  1. Put the product BASE CD in the AS/400 drive.

  2. Issue command, 'RSTLICPGM 1PSI001 DEV' (your media device).

  3. When the '*PGM OBJECTS .. RESTORED' message is returned, remove the product BASE CD and put in the CUM/Service Pack CD.

  4. Re-apply the CUM/Service Pack per the instructions, and then confirm that it shows as 'TEMPORARILY APPLIED' when you use command, DSPPTF 1PSC001.
