symptom
Error: 'MSRP100 called itself recursively (C S).' when trying to access the main product menu (PSMENU).

cause
This message occurs when a user tries to access the main product menu, PSMENU, after already been in the product at some level.  For example, most product menus have the F10=Cmd Line option for the user to access the OS/400 command line while in the product.  If, after doing so, the user types in PSMENU and selects a product option, this error will occur.

fix

In order to get back to the 'original' product session, the error message can be replied to by entering "C" and pressing Enter.  This will take the user back the main product menu.  From there, the F3=Exit key can be used to return to the original command line prompt taken from within the original session of the product.  This command prompt can be ended by using the F12=Cancel key.
