No, the Security Auditing Levels will not change due to an installation or upgrade of the software.  To view the recommended (NetIQ) values refer to the following steps:

  1. At a Command Line type PSMENU , press Enter.
  2. Select Option 1 PSAUDIT, press Enter. The PSAudit Main Menu screen will display.
  3. Select Option 1 System Auditing and Reporting, press Enter.
  4. Select Option 7 for System Setup and Defaults Menu, press Enter.
  5. Select Option 4 for Work With Security Journaling, press Enter.  The Change Security Auditing screen will display.
  6. The current auditing values will be displayed.  Press F10 to set recommended values for 'QAUDCTL' and 'QAUDLVL' .

Note: Values may also be customized directly by changing the System Values via the IBM WRKSYSVAL command.
