Situation

Unable to enter a menu number on the line, 'Enter Option or Function/Type'.

Resolution

Use the following menu path to enable this feature:

  1. Type PSMENU at the command line, press Enter

  2. Select Option 2 - PSSecure.

  3. Select Option 1 - Secure Menuing System.

  4. Select Option 3 - User Security & Administration.

  5. Select Option 12 - Installation Defaults Update.

Ensure that "Allow entry of function names as options" is set to "Allow function name *YES".
