How do I uninstall AS/400 5.2/6.2 when I no longer have the library PSINSTAL on my system to use the PSUNINSTL command?

With the 5.2/6.2 CD, follow the instructions below:

  1. Place the 5.2/6.2 CD in the AS/400.

  2. On a Command Line, type LODRUN, and press F4.

  3. For device, type *OPT, and press Enter.

  4. For Directory, leave the forward slash and type PENTASF after it, and then press Enter. This will start the process of installing the PSINSTAL library to your system.

  5. At the Software Agreement screen, take F3=Exit. The PSINSTAL library has now been re-installed.

  6. At a Command Line, uninstall the product with the PSINSTAL/PSUNINSTL command.
