WARNING: PentaSafe exit programs must be removed before uninstalling the product.
To remove exit programs, follow these steps:
- On a Command Line, type PSMENU, and press Enter.
- Option 2 - PSSecure.
- Option 3 - Remote Request Management.
- Note: Once exit programs are removed (next step), cycling *FILE and *DATABASE host servers and QSERVER subsystem (Option 8 from RRM menu will do this) is required. Be sure this can be done immediately after removing the exit programs in the next step. This may need to be done during off-hours.
- Option 7 - Remove All Exit Programs.
- Option 8 - Restart *FILE and *DATABASE servers (also cycles QSERVER subsystem).
To uninstall a PentaSafe software product, follow these steps:
- On a Command Line, type PSINSTAL/PSUNINSTL and press Enter.
- Type a "4" next to each product that is to be uninstalled, and press Enter.
The following additional steps apply only to uninstalling PSAudit-400's System Auditing and Reporting component.
If security auditing was not active prior to using System Auditing and Reporting, and auditing is no longer wanted, change system values, QAUDCTL and QAUDLVL to *NONE.
Security journal and receivers can be deleted after changing the above System Values:
- CHGJRN QAUDJRN JRNRCV (*GEN)
- DLTJRNRCV QGPL/ZAUD* (reply "I" to inquiry message)
- DLTJRN QAUDJRN
If PSSecure-400's Profile and Password management component has been uninstalled and system value QPWDVLDPGM specifies ZPPVP, change it to *NONE.
Library PSINSTAL may be deleted after all components have been installed.
Additionally, related objects in library QGPL may be deleted:
- WRKOBJ QGPL/PS* (be sure they are PentaSafe objects before deleting).
- Delete all PSMENU* & PSINSTALL* objects and PSVER* data areas.
Note: Do not delete any PentaSafe libraries until all components have been uninstalled.
