If your configuration changes, these steps will help you modify the agent?s execution environment. Follow these steps if you change the agent?s default port in the VigilEnt Security Manager (VSM) console, if you have other VigilEnt Security Manager agents that are configured to communicate on port 2261 or if you receive time-out errors at the end of reports.

  1. Locate the RUN.sh or RUN.bat file in the following location:

    • Sun Solaris: VSAF/bin/RUN.sh

    • Microsoft Windows NT or 2000: VSAF\bin\RUN.bat

  2. Open the RUN.sh or RUN.bat file with a text editor.

  3. If you changed the agent?s default port in the VigilEnt Security Manager console or if other VigilEnt agents are configured to communicate on port 2261, change the port that VigilEnt Security Agent for VPN-1/Firewall-1 uses. To do this, change '2261' in the last line of the file to an available port number.

  4. If you receive reports with a time-out error at the end, you can increase the time-out parameter. To do this, change '10000' in the last line of the file to a higher number that represents the time-out time in milliseconds.
