User is in a constant status of 'Pwd Expired' in VigilEnt Password Manager for Oracle.

cause
The Oracle 8 profile parameter for password lifetime and grace time "PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME", "PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME" should not be used in an Oracle 8 database with PeopleSoft installed. PeopleSoft and Oracle do not communicate properly for this feature to work. The SQLCQR Profile tab should read UNLIMITED for these two values.

fix
To resolve this issue, set the "PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME" and "PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME" parameter to UNLIMITED for the Oracle profile within the SQLCQR Profile tab.

Please note that when an Oracle Profile is created through the SQLCQR console the resource values are automatically set to the "DEFAULT" value. This references the DEFAULT Oracle profile and will cause the same issue.

The best method in a Peoplesoft environment to enforce password lifetime is with SQLCQR's template attribute for password lifetime, "API PwdLifetime Days".
