symptom
Password Server Process for VigilEnt Password Manager for Oracle does not start.

cause
The most common reason why a properly compiled Password Server process won't start is that the init.ora file does not have enough job_queue_processes listed.

fix

Please refer to the minimum 'job_queue_processes' requirements for each version of the product below.

  • VigilEnt Password Manager for Oracle 5.x requires at least 3 job_queue_processes.
  • VigilEnt Password Manager for Oracle 6.x requires at least 4 job_queue_processes.
