The setup requirements are as follows:

  • Oracle INIT parameters. (audit_trail=true or db, job_queue_processes=3 or higher, job_queue_processes=60)
  • Oracle privilege for "create session" is being audited (audit connect).The Oracle Profile setting for "Failed_login_attempts" is set (Oracle 8.x only)
  • The VigilEnt Password Manager "Audit Scanner" job is running.
  • If PeopleSoft 3-tier logins are being used, then the PeopleSoft 3-tier Breakin Scanner must also be running. This is a part of the PeopleSoft Add-on component provided with VigilEnt Password Manager v6 for Oracle.
