Unnecessary data can take up resources within VigilEnt Policy Center. To free space in your system, you can delete obsolete document tracking data. The information purged includes the user ID of who has reviewed a policy document or quiz, read a policy document, or completed a quiz, and the dates each task was performed. Use caution when purging because purged information is unrecoverable. You should back up your database regularly. Use the following steps to delete data.

1. On the Administration tab, click Options and click Data.

2. Type the number of units and unit of measurement in the 'Purge Policy Document and Quiz tracking data older than' fields.

3. Click Update and the system purges all document user data from that date and backward.

This feature is not recurring and must be run each time you want to delete tracking data.
