E-mail messages are not sent when a document is published.

cause

Mail server options, such as alerting users of a newly-published document, must be set with the correct distribution lists and server address.

fix
Use the following steps to verify e-mail publishing settings:

  1. Log on to the Administration site.

  2. On the Administration tab, click Options, and click Mail.

  3. Verify that the Publishing check box is selected.

  4. Click Update.
