When updating legacy documents in HTML, the structure is lost.

To update the documents, follow these steps:

1. View a VigilEnt Policy Center document on the Administration Site or User Site.
2. Copy the desired text.
3. Open the HTML editor.
4. Paste the copied text into the new document.

OR

1. Export the existing VigilEnt Policy Center (VPC) documents into HTML using the VPC export function.
2. Import the documents.
3. Edit the documents in the HTML editor.

VigilEnt Policy Center 2.1 adds support for native HTML documents, allowing administrators to customize policy documents. You can cut and paste text from Microsoft Word directly into VigilEnt Policy Center (VPC) and preserve the formatting; however, HTML documents do not allow for the XML structure found in the native VPC documents. This means do not attach platform controls, examples, or commentary.
