Error: 'Password is a required field when LDAP server is selected.'

cause
If using an LDAP server for the user and group repository, an entry is required in the Password field if an anonymous bind is not allowed.

fix

 Use the following steps to enter a password to connect to the LDAP server:

1. Log on to the Administration Site.

2. On the Administration tab, click Options | User Repository.

3. Verify that the Anonymous Bind check box is blank.

4. In the Password field, type the password for the Bind DN account.

5. Click Update.
