Error occurs when selecting 'LDAP Server' for the user and group repository.

symptom
Error: 'LDAP URL is a required field.'

cause
The URL for the LDAP server may be incorrect in VigilEnt Policy Center.

fix

Use the following steps to correct the information in the LDAP URL field:

  1. Log on to the Administration Site.

  2. On the Administration tab, click Options, and click User Repository.

  3. In the LDAP URL field, type the URL of the LDAP server in the following format:

    ldap://[servername or IP address]:389

  4. Click Update.
