Situation

Is it possible to install VigilEnt Policy Center on a secure LAN that does not have external Internet access?

Resolution

VigilEnt Policy Center does not require external Internet access to be installed. Access to internal HTTP is all that is necessary.  However, beginning with VPC 4.2 some active x content does require Internet access in order to initially install on the machine that is accessing the administration site with the intent to create or edit Word documents from within VPC.  Once this content has been downloaded, the computer no longer requires Internet access.
