VigilEnt Policy Center (VPC) uses and creates many types of files including DOC, HTML, PDF, and XML formats. These different file types have unique processes to print a document while in the Administration Site. Use the following steps to print these types of files.

Printing Documents from the Administration Site

Note: The following tasks all begin from the 'View/Edit Policy' page.


To print DOC files using the Document Viewer window:

  1. Click the DOC file that you want to view and click View. VPC displays the item in the Document Viewer window. 
  2. Click CTRL+P. VPC displays the Print dialog box. 
  3. Click your printing preferences and click Print.

To print DOC files using Microsoft Word:

  1. Click the DOC file that you want to view and click View. VPC displays the item in the Document Viewer window. 
  2. Click CTRL+A. All text within the view area is highlighted. 
  3. Right-click within the highlighted area and click Copy. The highlighted information is copied. 
  4. Open a 'new' document within Microsoft Word. 
  5. Right-click within the new document and click Paste. VPC adds the copied information to the new document.
  6. Click File | Print. VPC displays the Print dialog box.
  7. Click your printing preferences and click Print.

To print HTML files:

  1. Click the HTML file that you want to view and click View. VPC displays the item in the Document Viewer window.
  2. Right-click and select Print. VPC displays the Print dialog box.
  3. Click your printing preferences and click Print.

To print PDF files:

  1. Click the 'PDF file' that you want to view and click View. VPC displays the item in the Adobe-enhanced window. 
  2. Click Print on the 'Adobe' toolbar. VPC displays the Print dialog box. 
  3. Click your printing preferences and click Print.


To print XML files:

  1. Click the 'XML file' that you want to view and click View. VPC displays the item in the Document Viewer window.
  2. Click Printer Friendly Version. VPC displays the Print dialog box. 
  3. Click your printing preferences and click Print.
