Resolution

fact
NetIQ Group Policy Administrator 3.0

symptom
Selecting a Computer or User when running a RSoP anaylsis defaults to the root domain of the forest instead of the domain that is focused on.

cause
NetIQ is aware of this issue.  In GPA 3.0, it always defaults to the root domain when selecting computers/users in the RSoP.

fix
This is addressed in NetIQ GPA 4.0.  In NetIQ GPA 4.0, selecting an object for the RSoP defaults to the domain that you are focused on.
