When a change is made to an Active Directory object, the date of the last change is written immediately to the attributes of that object. Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) displays the information in the Last modified field of the MMC, Delegation and Configuration or Account and Resource Administrator Consoles and obtains it by querying Active Directory every time a properties page is launched or refreshed. Because of this, the value in the Last modified field will be updated even if the modification was not performed in DRA.
