symptom
Error: 'Perl parse error' when you drop any WRCUNIX Knowledge Script on an object in the TreeView Pane.

cause
Version 4.5.79.0 of netiqms.exe is a pre-requisite for AppManager For WebTrends Reporting Center UNIX.  Without this fix, you will receive Perl parse errors when you drop any WRCUNIX Knowledge Script on an object in the TreeView Pane.

fix
 

1)      To determine which version of netiqms.exe you are currently using, find the file in Windows Explorer.  The default location for this file is c:\Program Files\NetIQ\AppManager\bin.

a)       Right-click on netiqms.exe.

b)       Select the Properties menu item.

c)       Click on the Version tab.

2)       If the version is 4.5.78.0 or earlier, contact NetIQ Support and ask for patch AM50CE0001.exe.

3)       Apply the patch.

4)    Reinstall AppManager For WebTrends Reporting Center.
