symptom
After removing columns in a report within the Data View, the columns are staying removed after exiting and returning to the report.

cause
The cause of this issue is due to the default save feature within the Data View.  The default save setting is on.  With this setting turned on, any columns that are removed from within the Data View are saved when exiting the report.

fix

To resolve the above issue, follow the steps below to turn off the default save setting:

  1. Click View from the drop down menu, while in the 'Data View' of the Data Presenter.
  2. Un-select the Save Column Settings check box. This will turn off Save Column Settings and bring back any columns that were previously removed from the report.
