The cause of this issue is that the Administration server is not correctly validating pre-windows 2000 computer names when creating computer accounts via the Web console.

fix

This issue is resolved in Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) 7.0 and later. Upgrade to the latest version of DRA to resolve this problem.
