Resolution

The recommended method for preparing a .csv file for use with Exchange Migrator is to export it from Exchange Administrator. For more information refer to the following knowledge base article for more information about creating the Export from Exchange Adminsitrator:

The columns that are created by this export are also in the same order expected by Exchange Migrator are as follows (seperated by commas):

  • Obj-Class
  • First Name
  • Last name
  • Display Name
  • Alias Name
  • Directory Name
  • Primary Windows NT Account
  • Home-Server
  • E-mail address
  • E-mail Addresses,Members
  • Obj-Container
  • Hide from AB

The only columns that are necessary are as follows:

  • Obj-Class
  • Display Name
  • Alias Name
  • Directory Name
  • Home-Server
  • Obj-Container

Please note that must be in the exact location in the text line as an Exchange Administrator export would have put them. Commas (,) can be used in between to designate the blank fields, for example:

Obj-Class,, , Display Name,  Alias Name, Directory Name, , , Home-Server, , ,Obj-Container,

Mailbox, , ,John Doe, DoeJ, DoeJ, Source_Server, , ,/o=Org/ou=Site/cn=Recipients,
