Error deleting group_name: [80072030] There is no such object on the server' When Attempting to Delete a Group Using the Web Console

symptom

Assistant Admins receive the following error message when attempting to delete a group using the Web Console:

Error deleting group_name:
[80072030] There is no such object on the server.

Assistant Admins are able, however, to delete the group using the Directory and Resource Administrator MMC interface.

cause
This error message occurs if the group being deleted has a backslash (\) or other special character in the name.
