This information is contained in the Directory and Resource Administrator Reporting tool in the 'Groups and Members' report.  This report provides a list of groups, as well as the members of each group. It also provides additional information about each group member. It is sorted by group name, member domain, and member account name and includes the following information:

  • Group: Specifies each group contained in the domain identified in the Managed Domain field.
  • Group Member: Specifies the name of the user, group, contact or computer account that is a member of the group identified in the Group column.
  • Members: Specifies the number of members in each group identified in the Group column.
  • Type: Specifies whether the group identified in the Group column is a local, global, or universal Group.
  • Security Enabled: Specifies whether the group identified in the Group Column is a distribution or security group.
  • Full Name: Specifies the full name of each user account identified in the Group Member column.
  • Comment: Specifies the comment for the group identified in the Group column.
  • Member Comment: Specifies the comment for the account identified in the Group Member column.
Because this report displays all members of a group as well as the total number of members in it, the returned information can constitute a very large report, especially when displaying the results of broad queries run against a large domain.  The information needed specifically to list the group names and the number of members each has is stored in the GROUPS table.  To display it, launch the Reporting tool and enter design mode.  Along with a column listing the group names is one called $MCSNumberMembers.  The number in the $MCSNumberMembers column reflects the number of members in that group.
