Resolution
goal
What type of permissions does Domain Migration Administrator translate for a NetApp or network appliance?
fact
Domain Migration Administrator 7.x
fix
The security translation (or re-ACLing) of Mixed-mode queue trees is not supported by Domain Migration Administrator (DMA). If the directory or any subdirectories of the UNC path provided to DMA for translation contain a mixed queue tree, the UNIX permissions will be lost. DMA will translate the NTFS portion of the queue tree, but will overwrite the UNIX portion with null values effectively deleting those permissions. NTFS-only permissions are supported and translated by DMA.
