VigilEnt Audit Manager for Oracle will not send e-mails.

cause
The Notification Agent Console is missing a listener for Audit Manager.

fix

To resolve this issue, add a new listener to the Notification Agent Console.

1. Run the Notification Agent Console.

2. From the NT Service tab of the Notification Agent Console, click the Alert Listeners tab.

3. Click the Add (plus sign) icon and select the DBType tab.

4. Select the Oracle radio button and click on the Next Step button.

5. Populate the following:

   • SQL*Net Alias - The name of the server that you want to add to the listener
   • PipeName - Unique name for the Audit Manager listener (SQLCQR_AUDIT_PIPE)
   • Username
   • Password
   • Verify Password
   • Agent Directory

6. Click the Next Step button.

7. Enter SMTP information.

8. Click the Next Step button and populate any required information.

9. Click the Next Step button and click Finish.

The Alert Signal name must match Audit Manager's PIPE name.
