The VigilEnt Security Operations Center closes down unexpectedly with an error.

 Error:  'A data access error occurred (Error code 3081). Error source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for the ODBC drivers. Error information: [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] EXECUTE permission denied on object 'sp_getUserGroups',lldatabase'Vigilent', owner 'dbo'  when launching VigilEnt Security Operations Center.

cause
This is caused by an issue in VigilEnt Security Manager (VSM) with the Windows Authentication method within SQL Server.

fix

This issue has been resolved by patch VSM 4.0.3 Patch 2.  This patch can be downloaded from the Support Web Site from the link below.  You will need a valid user ID and password in order to download the patch.
