Does the GUI and VigilEnt Security Server machine need to be a domain member in order to run reports against systems in a Windows Domain?
VigilEnt Security Manager 3.0
VigilEnt Security Manager 3.0 SR1
VigilEnt Security Manager 3.0 SR2
VigilEnt Security Manager 4.0
The VigilEnt Security Manager (VSM) GUI, as well as the machine running VigilEnt Security Server (VSS), does not necessarily need to be a domain member in order to report on that domain. VSM uses the VigilEnt Security Agent for Windows (VSANT) in order to gather the data for reports.
NOTE: Issues could arise when attempting to browse machines and perform IP lookups within the VSM GUI if that machine is not a member. The machine running VSM may need to be configured to reference a DNS server in order to resolve host names.
