By default, VigilEnt Security Agent for Netware attempts to query the NDS tree for all server objects; however, this configuration may only be practical for small Netware environments. In larger environments, you may want to specify which servers are to be audited. VigilEnt Security Agent for Netware uses the server.lst file to determine which servers to audit. Follow the steps below to modify the server.lst file.
- Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the VSAN\config directory.
- Open the
server.lst
file in a text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad. - Read the commented instructions, and then type the names of each server that you want to include so that each server name appears on a separate line. The file may contain blank lines, comments (lines beginning with the # character), or server names only.
- Save the file as
server.lst
(in the VSAN\config directory), then exit the text editor. The next time that you generate reports, only the servers that you specified in theserver.lst
file are queried.
