How do I recover the migration information, without a backup, if the database is lost?

fact
Domain Migration Administrator 7.1

fix

If you have migrated users and groups with SID history, you will be able to populate the Domain Migration Administrator (DMA) database by running the SidHistory report.  This will restore the users and groups to the MigratedObjects table, by including all target domain accounts that have at least one SID in its SID History property.  When the MigratedObjects table is populated, you will be able to translate security using the mapping in that table.

If the old project folders are still present, DMA will not let you create a new project with the same name of one of the existing project folders.  We recommend that you create new projects.  You may then add migrated objects to the project using the Select Objects wizard.

If you have not migrated users and groups with SID history, and there is no backup, contact NetIQ Technical Support.
