fix

Some J. D. Edwards implementations maintain their production environment and their development environment on separate systems. To accommodate this configuration, VigilEnt Security Agent for WorldSoftware provides the means to operate a J. D. Edwards production environment while its source code resides on a separate system.

To implement a separate development and production environment, perform the following steps. This method is one of several possible methods that you can use to implement a separate development and production J.D. Edwards environment. Note: To use this method, the production environment must reflect the complete contents of the development environment.

  1. Build distributed data management (DDM) files and program cross-references as follows:

    1. For each source file on the development system, build a DDM file on the production system.

    2. On the production system, build program cross-reference information for each production object library.

    3. Delete the DDM files that you built in Step 1a.

  2. Build cross-references on the development system as follows:

    1. Build program cross-references for each object library.

    2. Perform one of the following tasks:

      1. Copy the following files to the production machine:

        • PJ2001F - Program Cross-reference master file.
        • PJ2030F - Program Cross-reference time-stamp file.

      2. Replace the following files on the production system with DDM files that reference the corresponding files on the development
        system:

        • PJ2001F
        • PJ2001LD
        • PJ2001LA
        • PJ2001L1
        • PJ2001LB
        • PJ2001L2
        • PJ2001LC
