fix

VigilEnt Security Agent for WorldSoftware lets you set up a separate Menu Detail file for one or more users.

The J. D. Edwards Menu System uses two files:

  • F0082 - Menu Master
  • F00821 - Menu Detail

For each authorized user in an environment, the Build Custom Menus function (if enabled, from the main screen), creates a member containing a subset of F00821 records that the user is authorized to use.

To build custom menus for multiple users, perform the following steps:

  1. Execute the program PJ2425C from the command line. This program has one parameter, J. D. Edwards custom object library. This program moves several programs into the J. D. Edwards custom object library, and grants the proper authorities. This program must be executed by a user with *SECADM authority and called as shown in the following example:

    CALL PGM(PJ2425C) PARM('CLTOBJ')

  2. In the J. D. Edwards program, navigate to Library List Revisions screen (05/G944). For every environment that you want to support custom menuing, change the value of the Menu Program ID from its current value (for example, P00MENU) to PJ2422C.

  3. In the VigilEnt Security Agent for WorldSoftware program, choose an environment from the main screen, and navigate to the Manage Environment screen (PJ2100). Set at least one user in the Custom Menus field to Yes.

  4. From the Manage Environment screen or the Library List Revisions screen, select the Build Custom Menus option. The Submit User Custom Menu Build pop-up window is displayed.
