VigilEnt Database Security Manager for Oracle stores the proxy username and password in an encrypted format. You cannot log in to a satellite server using the VigilEnt Database Security Manager for Oracle proxy account without VigilEnt Database Security Manager for Oracle.

To modify the default proxy user on a satellite server, follow these steps:

1. Click the Manage Server icon or select Manage from the Servers menu. The Manage Servers dialog box appears.

2. Select the satellite with the proxy user you want to modify and click Proxy User. A dialog box with the server name in the title appears. The following shows you which action to perform:

   • If you want to change the default proxy user?s password, enter and verify the new password under New Proxy User.

   • If you want to change the default proxy user, in the User field, specify a new proxy user name, and enter and verify a password.

3. Click Change. A small information box appears and reports the success of the change.

4. Click OK. The default proxy user on the satellite server is modified.
