VigilEnt Database Security Manager for Oracle lets you designate applications so that they are exclusive to each other. This means that if you grant one application to a user or a template, you cannot grant a different specified application to the same user or template by mistake.

To manage mutually exclusive applications, follow these steps:

  1. Select Manage from the Applications menu. The Manage Applications dialog box appears.

  2. Select the application you want to set mutually exclusive applications for from the Application pull-down list.

  3. Select applications you want to make mutually exclusive from the Mutually Exclusive Applications list. Each application you select is highlighted in blue.

  4. Click Save. A small Information dialog box appears and informs you that your changes are made.

  5. Click OK.
