Situation

How do I use NetIQCtrl without installing AppManager?

Resolution

  1. On a machine without AppManager installed, copy the following files from a machine with AppManager installed.  They should be located under the \NetIQ\AppManager\bin directory.

    netiqctrl.exe
    nqCtrlCom.dll

  2. Type regsvr32 nqctrlcom.dll from the command line in the same directory the nqCtrlCom.dll file exists.
  3. Now you should be able to run netiqctrl from the command line.
