DRA 6.60 and later can be configured to manage a subset of an Active Directory domain which has been termed 'Departmental Support.'
In order to configure DRA to manage a subset of an Active Directory domain or a particular OU, please perform the following steps while connected to the primary DRA server:

- Launch the 'Delegation and Configuration Mangement' console, logged in as a DRA Admin.
- Expand and select Configuration Management | Managed Domains.
- Right-click and select on New Managed Domain.
- Select Next on the 'Welcome' screen
- Select Manage a Domain and enter the NetBIOS name of the domain you wish to manage
- Check the Manage a Subtree of this Domain check box.
- On the Subtrees dialog box, click Add (You may then be prompted to enter credentials for this domain in the format domain\userid)
- Select the desired OU(s) and click OK
- Click Next.
- Enter an Override account if needed to use to manage that OU
- Click Finish.

- Launch the 'Directory and Resource Administrator MMC', while logged in as a Built-in Admin.
- Expand the Configuration node.
- Select Managed and trusted domains.
- Select Add.
- Select Manage a domain radio and specify the name of the domain.
- Select the Manage a subtree of this domain checkbox and click Next.
- Click Add,select the OU to be managed, and click OK.
- Click Next.
- Specify the account that DRA will use to access this OU.
- Click Finish.
