Error: 'Failed to initialize object picker for the source domain' when selecting the source computer in the 'Migrate Files, Folders and Shares' wizard.

cause
This occurs when the account logging into the the computer running Server Consolidator is not an administrator in the source domain.

fix

To resolve this issue, log in to the Server Consolidator console with an account that is an administrator in the domain(s) containing the server(s) that you are migrating from and to.
