Environment

Domain Migration Administrator 7.x

Situation

Error: 'There is no data to report' when running a report in a project.
Data is returned at a global level but not when run in a project.

Resolution

To resolve these issues:

  1. Rerun the actual Reporting wizard to generate the report.
  2. Run the Select Objects wizard within the project and add all the users of interest to the project.

Cause

  1. Sometimes when Domain Migration Administrator collects information for a report, no objects meet the criteria or query for the report. For example, if you generate all reports before you migrate any objects, none of the migrated account reports have any objects to report. In this case, Domain Migration Administrator displays the message in the right pane 'There is no data to report'.
  2. When reporting within a project, only the objects that have been added to the project, using the Select Objects wizard (or importing) , will be reported on.  Whereas, at the global level, all objects will be included in the report.  Therefore, if objects are being reported at the global level, but not within the project, it is most likely because the objects have not been added to the project.
