fix
The recommended procedure to move a Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) server to a new machine is by using performing the following steps:
- Install DRA on the new machine as a secondary server and join it to the 'Multi-Master Set'. For more information on this topic, please refer to: NETIQKB10322: How do I add a secondary server to a multi-master set in Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA)? https://www.netiq.com/kb/esupport/consumer/esupport.asp?id=NETIQKB10322
- Once the 'Multi-Master Set' synchronization has completed, promote the new secondary DRA server as a primary DRA server. For more information on this topic, please refer to: NETIQKB6046: How do I promote a secondary Directory and Resource Administrator server to a primary? https://www.netiq.com/kb/esupport/consumer/esupport.asp?id=NETIQKB6064
- Remove the old Primary from the 'Multi-Master Set'.
- Uninstall DRA from the old primary.
note
It is recommended that you first back up the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE|SOFTWARE|Mission Critical Software key on the original primary DRA server before you begin.
