Resolution

goal
How do I run simultaneous migrations (using multiple consoles connected to a shared EMA database), to migrate multiple projects, from one source information store to multiple target information stores?

fact
Exchange Migrator 2.x

fix
With the release of Exchange Migrator (EM) 2.2 SP1 it is now possible to run simultaneous migrations using multiple consoles connected to a shared EMA database.  The limitation is per project.  For each project, only 1 mailbox migration and 1 public folder migration can occur at any time.  Exchange Migrator enforces this with project locks that are held in the  EMA database.  There are no known issues in regards to running several concurrent migrations out of the same source information store. However, keep in mind that one itteration may be migrating an account which contains a reference to an account being migrated by another itteration and that relationship may be lost because one or the other has not yet been migrated at that exact instance.

note

This functionality was first added in Exchange Migrator 2.2 Service Pack 1. To upgrade your existing EM 2.2 installation to EM 2.2 SP1, download and install Service Pack 1.(www.netiq.com/support/em/sp.asp)
