Exchange Migrator 2.x
Receiving a permissions error when trying to login to a migrated mailbox/information store.
During migration with Exchange Migrator a new account was created rather than merging on the existing account. This could be a result of the option merge on samAccountName being selected and the source and target samAccountNames not matching or the option to merge on sidHistory being selected and the sid history not being populated, or is populted on a different account.
There are a couple of ways to resolve this issue:
- Unmigrate the mailboxes.
- Rerun the Migration Option wizard.
Then choose one of the two following options:
- Select the option to merge on sid history, if you migrated with sid history and the source and target samAccoutNames do not match.
- Select the option to merge on samAccountName, if the samAccountNames match and sid history was not migrated.
