To make comments mandatory, log into the Repository with an account that has at least Full Repository Server control permissions and perform the following:

For GPA version 3.0 and 4.x

1.       Launch the Group Policy Administrator Console

2.       Right-click the Repository Server (SQL_Server]) node and select Properties.

3.       Click Customize Options. 

4.       On the 'General? tab select the Display Comment Dialog and Require Comment checkboxes.

5.       Click OK and OK.

For GPA version 5.0

1.       Launch the Group Policy Administrator Console

2.       Right-click the Repository Server (SQL_Server) node and select Properties.

3.       Click Customize Options. 

4.       On the ?Options' tab select the Display Comment Dialog and Require Comment checkboxes.

5.       Click OK and OK.
