note
Domain Migration Administrator 7.x
symptom
Error: 'The local policy of this system does not permit you to log on interactively'.
symptom
An error occurs when ttempting to log into a migrated computer.
cause
There are a couple of possible causes for this error:
- The Local Security Policy has a Deny setting for Log on locally. If the user account that you were trying to log in with, or any group that this user is a member of, has been granted this right, the 'Deny logon locally' right will prevent this user from logging in.
- The user is logging into a Member Server and is not in the appropriate group to log on
fix
Please refer to the following workarounds:
- Remove any Deny Logon Locally permissions for the user and/or its groups.
- Add the user to an group that is permitted the log on locally right, such as Server Operators, or BackUp Operators.
