fix

When you migrate users with the option to migrate associated groups, the users and groups will go to the same target container.  However, any one of the following methods can be used to modify this behavior:

  1. Migrate the users and groups separately.
Migrate the users, then migrate groups in a separate step.

  2. Use modeling.

    1. In the Select Objects wizard, select the Users checkbox, and select the checkbox for Automatically load associated groups to project.
    2. Run Modeling: Import Data
    3. Select Modeling: Edit Group Data
    4. Multi-select the groups that you want to migrate to a different OU.
    5. Right click the selected groups and select Update Target OU...
    6. Select the desired OU and click OK
    7. Run the user migration wizard and select the option to migrate associated groups.

  3. Use a script.
Use a script to modify the target container for groups.

Note: Scripting is outside the scope of NetIQ Technical Support.
