Resolution

fact
Domain Migration Administrator 7.x

symptom
When a migrated user tries to access mapped drives an error occurs.

symptom
Error: 'The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials.'

cause
Microsoft Windows may still be connected to a mapped drive using the original source account credentials.

fix

The issue can be resolved by running the Translate Security Settings wizard, translating security in ADD mode, and selecting the check box to translate security on user profiles.

During a local user profile translation, Domain Migration Administrator also examines the list of mapped drives in the registry.  If any registry entries use the source account as the credentials for the mapped drive, Domain Migration Administrator resets the value to an empty string.  Resetting the value causes Microsoft Windows to use the credentials of the logged on user to establish a connection.
