symptom
Multiple 'The WebLogic Server has been (re)started' events for the same server (WebLogic 6.0+)

cause

When a job detects that a WebLogic Server has restarted, it issues this event once for each object on which the job is running.

The reason for this is that if you select an object in the TreeView Pane, right-click on it and select the ?View Problems? menu item, you will see just the events that pertain to that object in the List Pane.  Focusing on just this one object, you would want to know that the WebLogic Server has restarted ? you do not want to look in other places to see what has happened that is relevant to this object.  That?s why one ?restart? event is issued per selected object, even if all of the selected objects are part of the same WebLogic Server.
